Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry. Conduct patient evaluations, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Apply aseptic techniques to ensure infection control within the dental office. Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient assessments. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control protocols. Skills Experience in dental assisting with a focus on patient care and assessment. Familiarity with general dentistry practices as well as pediatric dentistry techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
