Job Description Position Overview: Psychiatry Program DirectorOur organization is on the lookout for candidates who possess a robust background in academic excellence and leadership within graduate medical education to oversee our Psychiatry training program. This role involves coordinating psychiatry training alongside our affiliated programs. The Harvard South Shore Psychiatry Program is a substantial residency program, accommodating 32 residents, and is accredited by ACGME. It is affiliated with the VA/Harvard Medical School Department of Psychiatry, offering a vibrant clinical setting and exceptional faculty committed to clinical research and education.We are open to considering candidates for the roles of Assistant or Associate Program Director, depending on their level of experience. Join us in experiencing profound personal and professional fulfillment while contributing to our mission of serving Veterans.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee direct clinical care and the education and supervision of psychiatry residents and medical students.Engage in clinical research and teaching initiatives.Coordinate with affiliate training programs to enhance psychiatry training.QualificationsA minimum of three years of significant administrative and leadership experience in Graduate Medical Education.Strong interpersonal, clinical, and leadership abilities.Board Certification in General Psychiatry.Eligibility for academic appointment at Harvard Medical School.A commitment to serving Veterans and a desire to work collaboratively within an exceptional interprofessional team.U.S. Citizenship is required.Compensation and BenefitsThis position offers a highly competitive salary through the VA, along with a generous leave and benefits package.
