Job Type Part-time Description JOB SUMMARY: The Utah Mammoth is seeking qualified candidates for a Part-Time position on the Tusk Force. This position is within the Youth Programs department and will focus heavily on expanding the Utah Mammoth brand and growing the game of hockey within the Utah community. We are looking for individuals who are engaging, professional, reliable, and motivated to go above and beyond. As a team, our collective focus is on building strong relationships and creating positive, memorable experiences for every Utah Mammoth fan we engage with. Please note this position is strictly event-based, and hours depend on the number of events scheduled. $17-$19 per hour. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: This position includes, but is not limited to both ice and street hockey programming such as: Learn to Play Programming, including Gear FittingsLearn to Skate and Power SkatingContinue to PlayHockey 101PE Takeovers at Elementary SchoolsAssisting with intermission skates at Mammoth gamesCoaching youth team practicesCamps and Clinics3v3 Tournament StaffingProtect the reputation of the companyExemplify the Utah Mammoth mission and values: transparent, all in, community obsessed, one team, and scrappyAccept other duties, as assigned COMPETENCIES:Builds Networks: Effectively building formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization.Collaborates: Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.Develops Talent: Developing people to meet both their career goals and the organization's goals.Customer Focus: Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions. QUALIFICATIONS:Must be 18 years oldMay be required to possess a valid Utah driver's license, pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements, and to pass a drug test.We are looking for individuals who are engaging, professional, reliable, and motivated to go above and beyondAvailable to work flexible, non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, for home games, and various events in the communityAbility to lead and teach group lesson by demonstrating proper skating techniqueProvide clear instructions, motivation and encourage the studentsBackground in Figure Skating for Learn to Skate ClassesMaintaining Professionalism and positive representation of the programKnowledge of the game of hockeyMust complete/or have already completed SafeSport - Core TrainingA desire to learn and work in the sports industryStrong communication skillsPossess a professional manner while interacting with fans of all agesMust be detail-oriented and be able to focus on multiple tasks at onceMust be able to work outside in various conditions (Heat, cold, rain, etc.)Previous promotional experience working with a professional or collegiate sports team PHYSICAL DEMANDS:This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.This person must be able to lift 75 lbs.
