Assembler *Pay Rate:* $20.00–$21.00 per hour *Schedule:* Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM *Location:* Cincinnati, OH *Position Type:* Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a mechanically inclined *Assembler* to join our team. This position involves hands-on assembly of a variety of components and equipment, requiring attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work comfortably with hand and power tools. Key Responsibilities * Gather and handle parts from stock ranging from small components to parts weighing up to 400 lbs. * Perform hands-on assembly work at both a workbench and on the production floor. * Grind, cut, drill, tap, and manually form components as needed to meet assembly requirements. * Assemble components requiring press and registered fits while maintaining proper clearances and tolerances. * Read and verify dimensions using measuring tools such as dial calipers and micrometers. * Grind impellers to achieve proper balance. * Inspect and straighten shafts as required. * Press bearings and bushings into housings. * Set and verify clearances during assembly. * Perform some welding as needed. * Operate a sit-down forklift. Training and certification will be provided. * Follow specifications, quality standards, and established safety procedures. Qualifications & Requirements * Basic knowledge of hand, pneumatic, and electric tools. * Understanding of drill sizes, taps, and basic machining/assembly practices. * Basic understanding of rotating equipment, clearances, alignment, and component fit. * Ability to use or learn to use measuring devices such as tape measures, scales, dial calipers, and micrometers. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Mechanically inclined with strong hands-on problem-solving skills. * Comfortable performing physical work while standing, bending, reaching, and working in various positions. * Ability to manually handle parts weighing approximately 50 lbs during assembly. * Welding experience is preferred but *not required*. * Forklift experience is a plus, but certification and training will be provided.
