The Crew Manager is a vital member of our team, responsible for leading and supervising a landscaping crew to ensure efficient and high-quality completion of landscape maintenance tasks. Crews typically consist of 2-7 members with varying roles and responsibilities, and the Crew Manager will need to effectively manage this team structure. This role involves hands-on work alongside the crew, as well as providing guidance, training, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. The Crew Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager.Responsibilities
•Lead and supervise a crew of 2-7 landscape professionals.
•Delegate tasks and provide clear instructions to crew members.
•Operate a variety of landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other hand and power tools.
•Perform landscape maintenance tasks, such as mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, and blowing.
•Ensure the quality of work meets company standards and client expectations.
•Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
•Train and mentor crew members on proper techniques and safety procedures.
•Complete necessary paperwork, such as timesheets and job reports.
•Communicate effectively with the Branch Manager and clients.
•Maintain a positive and professional attitude.Qualifications
•Proven experience in landscaping or a related field.
•Ability to operate various landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
•Strong leadership and communication skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
•Physical ability to perform the demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
•Relevant certifications, such as Landscape Industry Certified Technician or Certified Landscape Professional, are a plus. Obtaining relevant certifications demonstrates a commitment to professional development and can lead to increased responsibilities and earning potential.Compensation and Benefits
•Competitive hourly wage based on experience, ranging from $18 to $23 per hour.
