Lifeguard

Plandome Country Club Pool is looking for a few extra team lifeguards to assist with lifeguarding at our pools through the end of August and weekends in September. Extend you summer season a month and guaranteed employment in Summer 2025! Responsible for the overall safety of the pool and deck surrounding the pool. We are looking for guards to work all shifts: morning, afternoon, including weekends and holidays through the month of September. The lifeguard will report to the Aquatics Director. Responsibilities: · Ensure the safety of patrons in the pool. · Remain diligent and alert through all shifts. · Respond to any incident or emergency in the pool area. · Enforce the rules of the pool. · Keep the pool deck and surrounding areas clean and organized. · Work with the security staff to effectively communicate with clients and respond to emergencies. · Attend any supportive duties set forth by the Aquatics Director. · Check lifeguard equipment regularly and alert the Aquatics Director of any issues relating to safety. Qualifications: · Certified as a Professional Lifeguard, including up-to-date CPR, First Aid, and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training. · Nassau County certification (Take a test Mandatory). · American Red Cross Lifeguard certification (or equivalent). · Minimum 15 years old and up · The physical ability to perform routine duties including lifting and moving pool lines, lifeguard stands, and other equipment. · Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. · A record of integrity, reliability, and punctuality. · A willingness to assist in additional responsibilities as set forth by the Aquatics Director.
