Plastics Manufacturing Engineer – Medical DevicesLocation: 100% onsite: Indianapolis, IndianaPay Rate: Depending on direct related experience – up to $51.01Type: W2 contract (C2C OR THIRD PARTY will NOT be considered for this role)Work Authorization: Must be currently in the United States with active employment authorization documents without CURRENT H-1B sponsorship transfer requirements.Duration: 12-month contract – Estimated to end 3/2027Shift: 1st shift, M-F 7am to 4pm /8am to 5pmTop NON-NEGOTIABLES: Minimum 5 years of experience in plastics tooling and manufacturing processes.Hands on Plastics processing experience, injection molding.Proven Project Management experienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Plastics or Manufacturing EngineeringAbout the Role:Lead projects in the design, development, and manufacture of plastic medical devices, ensuring products meet quality, cost, and regulatory standards. Work closely with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges and drive continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Lead design, development, and manufacturing projects for plastic medical devicesCollaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain on technical solutionsDevelop and optimize molding processes using Scientific Molding and Lean toolsIdentify and evaluate new materials, processes, and technologiesEnsure compliance with medical device industry regulations and validation requirementsTroubleshoot mold, process, and design issuesRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Plastics, or Manufacturing Engineering5+ years’ experience in plastics tooling and manufacturing processesProficiency with DOE, SPC, Mold Flow Analysis, FMEAExperience with CAD (SolidWorks), GD&T, and statistical analysis toolsExpertise in process development for plastics and working knowledge of polymer properties, especially polyolefins preferredPrior experience in medical device product development and validationWork Authorization: Must be currently in the United States with active employment authorization documents without CURRENT H-1B sponsorship transfer requirements.Important information: To be immediately considered, please send an updated version of your resume to Deas172@kellyservices.com.
