Material Handler-Chemical Plant

Draslovka Mining Solutions is seeking Material Handlers to join our growing Operations team in Memphis, TN.The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:Operate forklifts in a warehouse and do safety checks on all equipment that is used in the warehouse area (forklifts, track mobile and spotter truck)Keep warehouse clean, unload caustic rail cars, and operate unloading pumps and associated valves and hoses for that job taskLabel and load product containers per DOT standardsMove bulk containers--either empty or fullKeep all mandated training complete and up to dateWork with minimal supervisionMove railcars and tank trailers with a spotter truck and/or a track mobileLoad flo bins from the process using a forkliftUnload flo bins to a cam belt to load product containersLoad trailers with bulk containers using forkliftRun wet/dry vacuum machine in the warehouseUnload tank cars at our unloading facilityMaterial Handlers work a 12-hour rotating schedule (days and nights).In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:High School Diploma/GED equivalentAbility to work rotating 12-hour shifts including overtime, weekends, holidays.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 55 pounds, climb stairs, stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and reach overhead.Must be able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as a Level A suit, full face respirator, SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus), safety glasses, steel toes, Tyvek, hearing protection and gloves.Ability to work in all weather conditions.The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:3 years Industrial/ Chemical plant Experience OR Military Equivalent ExperiencePrior material handling or warehouse experienceWho we are:Draslovka is a global supplier with a family business approach focused on the future of our planet.We are an international team driven by a shared goal and guided by our core values:We put safety firstWe always do the right thingWe build strong relationshipsWe act like business ownersWe constantly reimagine what's possibleWe specialize in the manufacture, distribution and application of CN-based chemistries, with more than 100 years of experience in CN chemistry and production for chemical synthesis, mining, industrial and agricultural applications.
