Software Engineer (Back-end)

What You'll Do: Design and implement scalable backend architecture for our memory platformBuild robust APIs that handle millions of memory retrievals per dayOptimize database performance and implement caching strategiesCollaborate with the engineering team on technical architecture decisionsEstablish engineering best practices and code quality standardsWork with AI/ML teams to integrate memory retrieval algorithmsMonitor system performance and implement automated scaling solutionsWhat We're Looking For 5+ years of backend engineering experienceStrong proficiency in Python and modern web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask) Experience with PostgreSQL and database optimizationKnowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Understanding of caching systems (Redis, Memcached) and distributed architecturesExperience with API design and microservices architectureStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExperience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as codeNice to HaveExperience with AI/ML infrastructure and vector databasesKnowledge of similarity search and embedding systemsBackground in high-performance computing or real-time systemsPrevious startup or early-stage company experienceOpen source contributionsExperience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) Knowledge of message queues (RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka)
