This role partners closely with executive leadership and the board to guide financial strategy, ensure fiscal sustainability, and support programmatic growth.Why Work For Our Client As The CFOMeaningful MissionCompetitive SalaryStrong BenefitsKey Responsibilities of the CFO:Provide overall financial leadership and strategic guidance to executive leadership and the boardOversee all accounting and finance operations, including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and month‑end closeDevelop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controlsEnsure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and grant guidelinesLead treasury functions, including cash flow management, forecasting, and investment strategiesDirect the annual budgeting process and long‑term financial planning; monitor performance against budgetProvide financial analysis, forecasts, and insights to support organizational decision‑makingLead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance teamOversee annual audits, tax filings, and external audit relationshipsManage nonprofit contracts and funding relationships with government agenciesSupport financial operations related to social service programs, including Medi‑Cal billing, behavioral health, family services, and case managementQualifications of the CFO: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferredMinimum of 8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibilityStrong knowledge of nonprofit financial management, audits, and complianceExperience with treasury management, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planningExperience working with social service agencies and publicly funded programsProficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft OfficeSkills Preferred of the CFO: Strong executive leadership and team development skillsExcellent analytical, strategic, and problem‑solving abilitiesEffective communicator and collaborative leaderHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesComfortable operating in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment#CFSAPR2026CFOCFOCFOCFOCFOCFO
