Job Description Job duties may include but are not limited to the following: Apply insulating materials and surface claddings and coating to pipes, vessels, tanks, ductwork and associated equipmentCover, seal or finish insulated surfaces or access holes with plastic covers, canvas strips, sealants, tape, cement or asphalt masticDetermine the amount, types and method of insulation neededFit and shape insulating materialsMeasure and cut insulation using tape measures, handsaws, knives and scissorsUse tools to install insulation such as pin snips, cutting shears, knives, channel locks, etc.Read blueprints and specifics to determine job specificationsPrepare surfaces for insulation applicationLoad and unload materialsStage materials in proper site areasObserve and comply with all safety process and proceduresOn-the-job training offered This position is safety-sensitive. Requirements Minimum 1 year previous experienceSupervisory responsibilitiesMust be at least 18 years oldAbility to perform basic mathAble to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outsidePhysically able to perform assigned tasksMust be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
