Job DescriptionStaff RadiologistBeckley VA Medical Center Beckley, WVAptive is seeking a full-time Staff Radiologist to support inpatient and outpatient imaging services at the Beckley VA Medical Center. This role offers a stable weekday schedule, no call, and the opportunity to serve Veterans in a collaborative, mission-driven federal healthcare environment.Key ResponsibilitiesReview imaging requests to ensure exam appropriateness and protocol accuracy based on clinical indications and established criteriaInterpret imaging studies with clinical correlation and generate timely, high-quality diagnostic reportsCommunicate critical and time-sensitive findings promptlyOversee image quality, radiation safety, and patient safety, including technologist feedback and dosimetry complianceProvide clinical oversight of contrast administration, patient preparation, and infection control practicesParticipate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities, including peer review, MRI safety, and Radiology QA committeesCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams, advise providers on exam selection and results, and participate in conferences such as Tumor BoardSupport patient-centered care through documentation, informed consent, coordination of care, and definitive result communicationContribute to education, strategic initiatives, and continuous improvement through data analysis, leadership collaboration, and adoption of imaging advancementsWork Environment & ScheduleSetting: Inpatient and outpatient radiology servicesHours: MondayFriday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.Call: NoneWeekends/Holidays: NoneTravel: Not requiredTelemedicine: Not permittedSupport: Collaborative nursing and administrative staffCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive federal physician salary (base + market pay)Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP): up to $200,000Comprehensive federal benefits package, including:Health, dental, and vision insuranceFederal retirement programs with matching contributionsPaid federal holidays and annual leaveContinuing medical education support and malpractice coverageRetention incentives available for highly qualified candidatesQualificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institutionCurrent, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territoryFederal DEA registrationBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationProficiency in spoken and written English
