The Finance Manager - Customer Programs, is responsible for partnering with the commercial business teams to optimize the investment in these programs and for performing finance functions to ensure proper budgeting, forecasting, and accounting of the same.Essential Job DutiesProvide strategic and ad hoc business decision making support to commercial and leadership functions of both the Foodservice and Consumer business units related to customer programs, royalties, and broker commissions. Perform a control and coordination function in the approval and signing of agreements and contracts related to customer programs. Lead a team of accounting associates who are primarily responsible for the tracking, payment, and auditing of customer programs. Build a plan to optimize Hoffmaster’s investment in customer programs, controlling spend and allocating it to the best opportunities. Participate in the budget and strategic planning process. Reforecast full current year customer programs expense on a monthly basis by business unit. Calculate and accrue for earned programs as part of financial accounting’s monthly close process. Maintain and develop information systems, including database systems, to support and automate the primary functions of the Customer Programs team and Business Analysis team. Automate and improve processes continuously. Participate as a critical member within the broader financial team. Build collaborative relationships with Sales and Marketing in order to execute the strategic plan. Required Skills And AbilitiesExcellent oral and written communication skills. Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel. Minimum Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred 5+ years’ experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Analysis, or a related fieldAbility to travel up to 4 times per year.
