Travel RN - Labor & Delivery
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care hospital, requiring a CA RN license, Epic proficiency, and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.Job Details• Work setting is an acute care hospital with a 266-bed facility located beachside in California,• Labor & Delivery unit includes 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high-risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms,• Patient population includes laboring patients, high-risk pregnancies, antepartum, and triage cases,• Procedures include fetal heart monitoring, high-risk pregnancy monitoring, C-sections, and vaginal deliveries,• Floating to postpartum (couplet care - newborn and maternal) required when staffing needs arise,• Ability to take a newborn role in delivery is a plus,• Schedule is days, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:00),• Every other weekend required,• No on-call required,• Charting via Epic (experience required),Job Requirements• Active CA RN license required - pending licenses not accepted,• Active RN license must be in hand at time of consideration,• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required,• Required certifications: AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring or NCC EFM, ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and FHM,• Epic EMR experience required,• Ability to float to postpartum and perform couplet care,• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration,• SSN and DOB required for consideration,Additional Information• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position,• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility,• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate - contact your recruiter for details,• All travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination,• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration - post-offer RTO requests are subject to denial,• RNs wear navy blue scrubs; L&D scrubs are provided by the facility,• Parking is available on-site for a fee (hang-tag or key-card options) or at an offsite location at a reduced rate
