Job Title: Director of Nursing (DON)Location: New York, NYCompany: Pride HealthJob Type: Full-TimeSalary$140,000/year - $150,000/yearJob OverviewPride Health is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to provide leadership, supervision, and clinical oversight for nursing staff and medical programs across OPWDD-certified residential settings.This role oversees care delivery for up to 96 individuals across multiple residences and ensures high-quality, compliant medical services through strong leadership and collaboration.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Oversight & Patient Care:Provide leadership and accountability for all nursing servicesAssess patient needs and manage complex medical conditionsParticipate in care planning, admissions, and assessmentsConduct program visits and monitor medication administrationEnsure accurate and compliant medical documentationSupervision & Leadership:Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staffSupport hiring, onboarding, and trainingEnsure proper nurse coverage across programsProvide performance feedback and corrective guidanceQuality Assurance & Compliance:Oversee audits and quality assurance programsEnsure compliance with OPWDD, CMS, and DOH regulationsMaintain audit readiness and address regulatory risksMonitor quality indicators and implement improvementsProgram Development & Collaboration:Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and leadershipSupport policy development and process improvementsParticipate in committees and strategic initiativesAdministrative Duties:Travel to multiple sites for oversight and auditsManage operations in a fast-paced environmentMaintain confidentiality and professionalismRequired QualificationsActive NYS Registered Nurse (RN) LicenseBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (Master’s preferred)5+ years of nursing experience2+ years of leadership/supervisory experienceExperience in OPWDD settings, community residences, or nursing homesValid driver’s license and ability to travel between locationsAbility to be on-call as needed (24/7 support)Preferred QualificationsFirst Aid and CPR certificationsStrong leadership, compliance, and quality improvement experienceWork EnvironmentMultiple residential and community-based care settingsInterdisciplinary, team-oriented environmentLeadership role with high visibility and impactPrideGlobal and it's affiliates offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
