Follow @abbvie onLinkedIn,Facebook,Instagram,XandYouTube.Job DescriptionPurpose: Data Science and Analytics is an ambitious team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers with a unique blend of Business, Scientific, and Machine Learning expertise that seeks to unleash the full potential of AbbVies data assets by bringing technology and/or data and insights to the forefront of decision making via fit-for-purpose analytics solutions.The Data Scientist role is a key role to enable application of advanced analytics techniques across clinical development processes, specifically focused on the feasibility of AbbVies clinical trials at the program, study, country and site levels.Roles And ResponsibilitiesFor assigned projects, works with the cross-functional team to enable fit-for-purpose analytics solutions.Responsible for conducting and delivering fit for purpose analysis related to clinical trial feasibility including, study design, study benchmarking, country and site selection insights, competitive landscapeGenerates machine learning or quantitatively informed site listsWorks with team to ensure analytical work product is consistent across projects where appropriate and that user experience is optimized and follows the design principles and standards established by the teamLeverages proven statistical methodologies and those methodologies established as standard by the team; in addition to leveraging proven statistical methodologies and standards established by the team, experiments and recommends additional techniques to solve business problemsEnables data-driven insights to support of assigned projectsIf assigned, participates in functional innovation and process improvement initiatives;Ensures adherence to federal regulations and applicable local regulations, Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), ICH Guidelines, AbbVie Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and to functional quality standards.Identify business needs and support the creation of standard KPIs, reports, and statistical analysesQualificationsBachelors degree statistics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science or equivalent field. Masters degree preferred Must have 2-3 years of Data science and analytics-related experienceDomain knowledge in clinical trial feasibility and real-world data sourcesComplete or Full / Career proficiency in Excel, SQL, R, Python and/or other statistical packages. Intermediate-level knowledge of statistical and data mining techniquesIntermediate proficiency with visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI or equivalentExperience with Machine Learning and other advanced analytics techniques preferredDemonstrated effective communication skills.
