Services are provided in the form of advisory services (specific projects) and outsourced services (interim or fractional roles with clients). Client relationships are overseen by the Client Relationship Manager, an HR Partner or Managing Director of the company. Work performed by the Accounting Manager on client engagements may include the following:Advise, recommend, and implement accounting and finance best practicesLead or support month end tasks – journal entries, account reconciliations, ledger tie-outs, etc.Provide oversight of all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systemsProject management - keep the project on track and identify opportunities to provide value to our clientsAssist with cash, treasury management, revenue, expenditures and payroll tasksAssist in streamlining accounting processes and improving proceduresLead and coordinate external financial audit activitiesDevelop and monitor accounting policiesImplement appropriate internal controlsMonthly financial statement preparationFinancial analysis, cash forecasting, variance analysis and budget-to-actual reviewsDue diligence tasks – preparing to acquire or to sellOversee A/R, A/P and/or payroll tasksVarious ad hoc projects related to drive growth at our clients Note: This job description is only a summary of the typical functions of the job, not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible job responsibilities, tasks, and duties. Responsibilities, tasks, and duties of the jobholder might differ from those outlined in the job description and other duties, as assigned, might be required.Required Qualifications And Core CompetenciesBachelor’s degree in accounting6+ years of progressive accounting experienceExperience with full-cycle accountingHigh level of proficiency in MS Excel, various accounting and ERP systemsEnjoy working with multiple clients in a variety of industriesDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to use independent judgment to work with and manage priorities of multiple clientsAbility to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment with clients and internal teamStrong project management skillsMust be able to spend substantial time in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN area for onsite client work as neededPreferred ExperienceCPA (active or inactive) and/or MBABackground in mergers, acquisitions, and integrationsPrior experience in consulting or contract workExperience working with private equity-backed companiesProject management experiencePosition Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position with some flexibility regarding work schedule and location.FLSA Status: ExemptWork Environment/ TravelThe work is performed on-site at client locations, remotely from home, and at Growth Operators' office in downtown Minneapolis.This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.Travel is primarily local during the business day; some out-of-town and overnight travel is expected.Benefits/Total RewardsGrowth Operators offers a competitive Total Rewards package focusing on your overall wellbeing.
