CNC Programmer

Reporting to the Fabrication Manager, the CNC Programmer is responsible for using CAD software to convert fabrication drawings into machinable parts on the CNC machines (punch press, laser, and press brake).What a typical day looks like:Read technical drawings and convert 2D and 3D drawings into mechanical components on the CNC machines (punch press, laser, and press brake machines)Recommend scheduled machine runs to provide the highest output of productionVerify cutting tools and cutting sequencesComplete all production, programming, and quality control documentation, as requiredTroubleshoot and resolve programming issues as they ariseOperate the CNC machines as needed.Complete other related duties as assignedThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:High School Diploma or equivalent5+ years’ experience in a related fieldStrong attention to detail and ability to perform work accuratelyFamiliarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprintsBasic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurementsExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesProficient with CAD Software and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)What the physical requirements are:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Able to traverse production floor as neededMust wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection while working on the production floorGB02SiteFlex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
