The Accounting Manager will own branch financial strategy, manage accounting operations in coordination with external accountants, deliver actionable weekly and monthly analysis, and safeguard cash and banking activities to support growth, acquisitions, and profitability. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, own and analyze the P&L for the company and individual branches; produce clear, timely reports and presentations for executive leadership.Organize, maintain and run QuickBooks in coordination with our external accountant; ensure chart of accounts, reconciliations and closing routines are accurate and completed on schedule.Manage Accounts Receivable processes and reporting, including aging analyses, collections oversight and customer billing accuracy.Own branch-level financial strategy, budgeting, and needs assessment; recommend actions to improve branch profitability and operational efficiency.Oversee company-wide accounting functions: month-end close, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations and compliance with accounting policies.Produce weekly analysis and metrics of branch and customer performance; highlight trends, risks and actionable recommendations for leadership.Develop year-over-year progress reports and variance analyses to track KPIs and business performance.Build financial projections to support upcoming opportunities, acquisition strategy and integration planning.Perform cash risk analysis, including forecasting liquidity, identifying cash shortfalls/exposures and recommending mitigation strategies.Administer internal payrolls for all teams, including commission and compensation plan calculations, payroll reporting and coordination with payroll provider or processor as needed.Manage company banking relationships and transactions: account setup, transfers, signatory authority, and bank reconciliations.Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales and HR to align financial processes with business needs.What We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.2-5 years of progressively responsible accounting/finance experience; prior controller or senior accounting role strongly preferred.Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) and strong Excel skills; experience with financial BI or reporting tools a plus.Proven experience managing AR, payroll (including commissions), bank relationships and month-end close processes.Strong analytical skills and ability to translate financial data into business recommendations.Demonstrated experience supporting M&A or acquisition-related financial work is highly desirable.Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable reporting to and advising senior leadership.High integrity, attention to detail and strong internal control mindset.Steadfast Employment offers a competitive compensation package, including:Base Salary + performance bonuses401(k) plan with company matchingMedical, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO) (14 days starting)Mental Health Days (5)Discretionary Days Off (2)Holiday Bonuses
