Electrical Project Engineer

Newtility is seeking a hard-working, independent *Electrical Project Engineer* to join our small but elite team! This will be a hybrid position based out of Brunswick, Maine. Work directly on systems that others only study: from day one, you will design, troubleshoot, and commission real-world renewable energy and infrastructure projects, gaining more hands-on experience than most engineers get in years! *WHAT YOU WILL DO:* * Design electrical protection and control systems for renewable and distributed power generation projects * Support protective relaying, system modeling, power studies, engineering analysis, and project-level design * Build and test control panels in-house * Program, test, and commission protective relays, control systems, switchgear, generators, inverters, and a wide variety of other equipment in the field * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, interfacing directly with clients, contractors, and vendors *WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:* * 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering * Ability to change gears quickly and think independently * Comfort moving between the office and field work * Passion for learning and a desire to understand the whole system, not just one piece * *If this describes you…let’s get in touch!* *ABOUT NEWTILITY:* At Newtility, we design, build, commission, and maintain complex power and control systems for renewable energy projects, microgrids, and utility infrastructure.
