Breakfast/Lunch Cook

Join the team at Cape Cod Coffee @ Wareham Crossing, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner year-round. We are a team of experienced and hardworking staff to help us make this restaurant a success! We're looking for a talented and motivated line cook to join our growing kitchen team at the Cape Cod Coffee @ Wareham Crossing! As a line cook, you will be responsible for preparing various breakfast, lunch, and dinner items quickly and consistently in line with our company standards. You should also be available to work during peak business hours. Your main goal will be to help increase customer satisfaction by preparing high-quality foods. Responsibilities: Carry out instructions received by the executive chef or sous-chef. Prepare & cook menu items such as breakfast dishes, sandwiches ,salads & pizzas Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner by restocking ingredients at work station and meeting prep times Set up and clean work station according to restaurant protocol Maintain a clean work station area, including kitchen equipment, tables & shelves Comply with applicable sanitary, health, & personal hygiene standards Ensure quality & freshness of ingredients & products Check & put away deliveries when required Perform additional tasks as assigned by the line supervisor, sous-chef or executive chef Requirements: Outstanding understanding of food safety practices and hygiene Working experience in preparing ingredients for fast food quickly Understanding of cooking methods, procedures, & knife handling skills Excellent team spirit with a customer-focused attitude Flexible to work in shifts including mornings, weekends & evenings Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, & attention to detail Ability to read & follow cooking directions Good interpersonal & communication skills Must be organized & self-motivated Quick decision-making skills & good time management skills Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Paid time off Shift: Day shift Evening shift Morning shift Work Location: In person
