More information about the company and its services can be found at http://www.atombanana.com.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Forklift Operator role based in Chicago, IL. The Forklift Operator will safely operate forklifts and related warehouse equipment to move, stack, load, and unload pallets and fresh produce. Daily responsibilities include receiving inbound shipments, staging and organizing products in designated storage areas, and preparing outbound orders according to company procedures and safety standards. The role involves inspecting forklifts and equipment before use, reporting any maintenance needs, and following all facility, food safety, and OSHA regulations. The Forklift Operator will work closely with shipping, receiving, and warehouse teams to maintain accurate inventory and support efficient warehouse operations.Qualifications Proficiency in Forklift Operation, including safe driving, loading, stacking, and maneuvering in tight warehouse spaces.Experience with Shipping & Receiving, including verifying documentation, checking counts, and coordinating inbound and outbound loads.Skills in Unloading and Material Handling, with the ability to move, lift, and position pallets and boxes of fresh produce safely.Experience with Packing and staging orders, including palletizing, wrapping, and preparing shipments according to company standards.Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification as required by company policy and local regulations.Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and work in a warehouse or cold storage environment for extended periods.Strong attention to detail, reliability, and adherence to safety and food handling procedures.Basic reading, writing, and math skills to complete logs, labels, and inventory forms; prior warehouse or distribution experience is preferred.
