Licensed Practical Nurse-Physical Medicine and Rehab (Pain)

The primary purpose of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is to provide quality health care, deliver outstanding customer service, and maintain an environment committed to serving veterans. Duties vary based on grade level.Medication and Treatment Administration: Prepare and administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed. Document patient responses and report deviations to RN or MD/DO.Emergency Response: Recognize and respond to emergent patient care situations, seeking assistance from RN or MD/DO and initiating appropriate emergency interventions.Patient Interaction: Utilize knowledge of human behavior to interact effectively with patients, their families, and staff, promoting communication and positive relationships.Respect for Privacy: Maintain patient privacy and dignity in all aspects of care delivery.Support for Diagnostic Procedures: Assist in complex diagnostic tests and specialized practices, preparing patients and handling instruments.
