Job Summary: The Senior Global Professional Affairs Manager supports the development of impactful professional education in close collaboration with core and myopia Global Professional Affairs personnel, and contributes to the advancement of scientific and clinical programs across 1 Day, FRP, and Myopia Management businesses. The individual plays an active role, alongside the broader Global Professional Affairs team, in shaping scientific priorities and dissemination strategies, while partnering closely with Clinical & Medical Affairs, who lead study execution and publication development. The role leads global oversight of In-Market Assessment (IMA) activity, ensuring the surveys conducted and funded by local markets are compliant with internal SOPs, aligned to business needs, and appropriately leveraged to support scientific understanding and claims development. In addition to core responsibilities, the role will flexibly support global key account initiatives, customer journey optimization, and category growth programs. The role requires advanced collaboration skills within a matrix organization, and the ability to translate science into relevant professional education while maintaining appropriate governance between Professional Affairs and Medical Affairs. Responsibilities Professional Education & Content Development (Core Business & Myopia Management)Partner with Global Portfolio Brand Marketing, Regional Professional Affairs, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and deploy professional education, tools, and materials aligned to Professional Affairs strategy across 1 Day, FRP, and Myopia Management portfolios.Flex time and focus across therapeutic areas in response to evolving commercial priorities, under the direction of the Myopia Management and Core Business Professional Affairs leadership.Support the development of education for:Product launches and lifecycle supportClinical and scientific education relevant to each portfolioCategory growth and execution of portfolio positioningTranslate complex scientific and clinical information into compelling, practical education for eye care professionals globally.Support marketing colleagues in the development of substantiated, compelling claims.Provide Professional Affairs input into competitive landscape assessments, FAQs, and objection-handling materials.Continuously evolve professional education approaches to reflect changes in the external environment (e.g., digital learning, time-constrained practitioners, changing practice models), ensuring content remains relevant, accessible, and impactful 2. Scientific & Clinical Programme ContributionContribute, as part of the Global Professional Affairs team, to the planning and alignment of CooperVision's global scientific and clinical programs.Partner with Commercial teams to identify post-market clinical evidence needs, gaps, and prioritiesContribute to abstract and publication planning, aligned to business prioritiesCollaborate closely with Clinical & Medical Affairs, who are responsible for study execution, scientific content development, and publication deliverySupport scientific dissemination and onward use of scientific content into claims, materials, education and PRCoordinate inputs across stakeholders to ensure alignment on what evidence is needed and whyProvide visibility to progress, timelines, and outputs of key scientific activitiesResponsible within Global Professional Affairs for coordination of CooperVision's global scientific and IMA programHold responsibility within Global Professional Affairs for oversight and coordination of CooperVision's global In-Market Assessment (IMA) programme, which is typically initiated, run, and funded by local markets.Review IMA proposals and applications to:Ensure alignment with internal SOPs and governance requirementsConfirm study objectives are appropriate and scientifically soundAdvise on opportunities to strengthen study design or outputsProvide Professional Affairs guidance to local markets on:Appropriate use of IMAs to address clinical, educational, or commercial questionsPotential implications for scientific dissemination or claims developmentTrack global IMA activity, maintaining visibility of:Approved and ongoing IMAsTherapeutic area, portfolio, and regional distributionTimelines and expected deliverablesConsolidate and review final IMA reports submitted by markets, ensuring:Outputs meet internal requirementsLearnings are appropriately documented and accessible 3. Cross-Functional Partnership including Key Accounts & Customer Enablement Partner with Portfolio Brand Marketing and Clinical Affairs to inform claims development and evidence strategyCollaborate with Global Communications and Digital teams to ensure effective deployment of education and scientific messagingSupport Global Key Account teams by providing clinical insight to strategic customers, ensuring alignment with real-world practice needs and opportunitiesPartner with Global Customer Enablement teams to inform and optimize the end-to-end customer journey, bringing clinical perspective to prescribing behavior, patient experience, and complianceIdentify opportunities to remove barriers and enhance adoption across the customer and patient journeySupport category growth initiatives by ensuring strategies are clinically credible, practical, and relevant to eye care professionalsRepresent CooperVision externally with strong clinical credibility Travel Requirements: Domestic and International travel approximately 15%, as required by business needs Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong strategic thinking combined with disciplined execution.Excellent matrix leadership and influencing skills.Ability to work effectively across therapeutic areas and shifting priorities.Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex, cross-functional programmes.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to translate clinical and scientific knowledge into relevant, practical, and engaging professional education.High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Cultural awareness and ability to work effectively across regions.Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience:Strong clinical background and experience in soft contact lens fitting.Experience working with key accounts would be an advantageExperience with Myopia Management education and/or clinical practice preferred.Experienced presenter to large professional audiences.Demonstrated experience coordinating education or scientific initiatives across multiple stakeholders.Prior experience in a global or regional role within a large organization strongly preferred.Minimum of 10 years' experience in the optical industry and/or clinical practice.Professional Affairs, consulting, or speaker experience preferred. Education:Qualified OptometristAdvanced certification(s) preferred. For US locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $122,956.00 and $175,652.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments.
