Senior Thermal systems engineer

We are a clean technology company developing advanced energy systems designed for scalable, real-world deployment. We’re looking for a hands-on Thermal Systems Engineer to help redesign and industrialise complex thermal products, working across design, testing, manufacturing, and production scale-up.This role suits someone who enjoys solving difficult engineering challenges in a fast-paced, build-focused environment.Responsibilities: Thermal systems engineer Lead thermal and mechanical system redesign for manufacturability, reliability, and cost reductionImprove system packaging, thermal management, and serviceabilitySupport prototype-to-production transition and manufacturing scale-upTroubleshoot production and process issues impacting quality or outputWork closely with suppliers, fabricators, and assembly teamsDevelop testing and validation processes for thermal systemsSupport rapid design-build-test iterations in a hands-on engineering environmentExperience Required:Thermal systems engineer Degree in Mechanical, Thermal, or Systems Engineering (or similar)Experience working on thermal, HVAC, combustion, boiler, or high-temperature systemsStrong understanding of heat transfer, fluids, materials, and mechanical designExperience bringing hardware products from development into productionCAD experience (SolidWorks or similar preferred)Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-accountability environmentsPractical, hands-on mindset with strong problem-solving abilityDesirableLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposureExperience with manufacturing scale-up and reliability improvementStartup, scale-up, or clean technology experienceIf this would be of interest please do apply to the below or reach out to h.lowther@brightsmithgroup.com
