We process thousands of orders daily made possible by our technology and internal automation. We are hiring a Software Support Engineer to help us continue our growth. The position is responsible for providing support and problem resolution for internal and customer-facing web-based applications. Responsibilities A successful candidate will be a self-motivated and self-managing person with good communication and problem-solving skills. This person will work directly with and for our Director of IT and Software Engineering. This position will be accountable for ensuring the uptime for both internal and customer-facing applications. This role presents an opportunity for rapid professional growth. Primary point of contact to troubleshoot and resolve applications issues. Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to resolve issues. Follow up with team members to ensure their systems are fully functional after troubleshooting. Log and provide detail notes of activity to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Work with team members within operations to understand business requirements to ensure that applications meet the needs of end-user(s). Recommend and work to implement enhancements or better efficiencies. Ability to communicate at a technical level appropriate to the circumstance – i.e.: varying levels of IT knowledge. Create technical documentation for major company applications. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's in information technology, operations, computer science, or engineering. Academic and/or professional experience using Java, C++, C#, Python, or similar programming languages Relational Database (RDMS) knowledge (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc) Academic or professional experience working with REST/API integrations Must have the desire to learn Demonstrated problem-solving and debugging skills Experience with writing technical and process documentation a plus.
