Gastroenterology physician employment in Maryland : Seeking an Interventional Gastroentroligist Our hospital-employed group provides inpatient services at a 500 bed facility and outpatient services for the surrounding community.Please read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.Inpatient transfers and outpatient referrals of more complicated GI patients from affiliated facilities are common, including requests for advanced endoscopic procedures.The practice includes 4 Gastroenterologists, 3 NPs, and 2 PAs Phenomenal support staff Call coverage: rotation based/excess pay ' only one hospital to cover Onsite lab services EMR: Cerner Opportunity to participate and mentor medical students and residents in clinical and QI research projects in freestanding Internal Medicine Residency Program Onsite nursing and APP support Examine, diagnose, and treat or recommend courses of treatment for patients with emphasis on disorders of the gastroenterological, hepatic, biliary, and pancreatic systems in the outpatient practice as well as provide inpatient consults on a rotating basis Enjoy the reward of working with and supervising residents and medical students Advise, order, and perform appropriate tests and interpretation of the results Carry out follow-up appointments, monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans and medications, update patient records, and make referrals as needed Remaining up-to-date on current best practices, developments, trends, research, and technology.
