If you are a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, we want to hear from you.What You'll DoAs an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and running the extrusion lines - playing a key role in keeping production running smoothly while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Choosing the correct tooling, setting up, and running the extrusion linesCleaning and maintaining extrusion tooling using proper handling techniques to prevent damageVisually examining, weighing, and measuring each hose to ensure it meets internal standards, making adjustments as neededMonitoring the line to locate defects on extruded products and shutting down or adjusting to eliminate defectsRejecting all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations and reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisorWorking with team members, shift supervisors, and all necessary personnel to address complications as they ariseAttaining production goals by accurately and timely completing work orders with minimum supervisionCompleting transactions in the ERP systemAccurately recording time worked and allocating time to the appropriate job(s)Operating a forklift as neededMaintaining a clean, orderly work area and complying with all OSHA and Puck rules and regulationsWhat We're Looking ForCompetencies:Learning AbilityProblem Solving/AnalysisInitiativeTime ManagementAttention to DetailAdaptabilityContinuous ImprovementAbility to work well in a groupRequired:High school diploma or GED, OR 36 months of related experience or training (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)Industry experiencePhysical RequirementsThis is an active, hands-on role in a manufacturing environment. Team members must be able to:Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, twist, crouch, and crawl throughout the shiftRegularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs. and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and communicate effectivelyMaintain close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, team members are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, oil, and grease, and occasionally exposed to vibration. Team members occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and perform work from a variety of angles and body positions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
