Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in New Zion, SC, providing contract work within a school setting. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and delivering therapy services to students experiencing speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The professional in this position will play a crucial part in enhancing students' communication abilities, thereby supporting their academic achievements.Key Responsibilities:Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) consistent with applicable state and federal guidelines.Deliver direct speech-language therapy both individually and in group settings.Collaborate with educators, families, administrators, and special education personnel to foster student progress.Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility assessments, and multidisciplinary team discussions.Qualifications:Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.Valid South Carolina SLP License issued by the SC Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, or eligibility to obtain.South Carolina Department of Education certification, or eligibility to obtain.Familiarity with special education laws and regulations, including IDEA and the IEP process.This school-based contract opportunity offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in students lives by addressing their communication needs.
