And our tuition reimbursement program is the perfect springboard to help you get there!So, what does a Dispatcher/ Logistics Coordinator do?The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as a critical point of contact between customers, dispatch, and operations. This role is responsible for order entry, scheduling coordination, and ensuring accurate, timely communication to support the delivery of ready-mix concrete. The CSR plays a key role in delivering a high level of service in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.Position Essential Functions ResponsibilitiesReceive and process incoming customer orders via phone, email, and electronic systemsAccurately enter orders into dispatch systems, ensuring correct mix, quantity, delivery time, and jobsite detailsCoordinate closely with dispatch to align order timing, truck availability, and plant capacityCommunicate order confirmations, changes, delays, and issues proactively to customersMonitor order status throughout the day and provide real-time updates as neededHandle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and urgencyMaintain detailed and accurate customer and job recordsAssist with credit/COD order processing, including communication of payment requirementsSupport sales and operations teams with customer-related follow-up and documentationEnsure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and service expectationsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or related experience preferred2+ years of customer service, inside sales, dispatch support, or related experience preferredExperience in construction materials, trucking, logistics, ready mix, aggregate, or related industries is strongly preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with strong data entry accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Office and dispatch/order management systemsAbility to work extended hours, and occasional weekends as neededAbility to work at 8 a.m. - 4:30p.m. but has flexibility for outside and overtime hours as neededAbility to work at least 2 or 3 Saturdays per monthThe successful candidate will have at least a High School education or equivalent, although a college education is preferred.This person needs to have excellent and clear communication skills (bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus)Be well-organized.Have strong customer service skills.Dispatching experience is a plus.Experience in the concrete/construction industry is also a plus.Strong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressureProficiency in Microsoft Office and order entry/customer management systemsAbility to work collaboratively with operations, dispatch, drivers, and sales teamsBasic understanding of sales processes, customer account management, and service follow-up preferredNo smoking is permitted on or within company property, including inside trucks, buildings, or anywhere on the premises.Physical RequirementsLift 20 pounds regularly on occasion.Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objectsStand for long periods of time.Kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or crawl.Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.Silvi Materials does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, retaliation, parental status, military service, or other non-merit factors.
