Please visit our websiteto learn more.What is an Occupancy Verification?Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:To verify property occupancyTo report on the general condition of the property using a mobile applicationMost inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacantWe contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.ResponsibilitiesMost common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutesComplete the inspection within 4 days after it is assignedReport general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standardsTake 9+ photos of the property with brief commentsComplete a short form in an appRequires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territoryRequirements(to be considered you must have the following):Computer with an internet connectionReliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus as you will be paying for your own gas)Smartphone (Android or iPhone)PrinterPass a standard background check using a valid driver's licensePay and HoursThis is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Rates vary based on county and volume. Although you are paid per inspection, you will earn the equivalent of $20-$30per hourDepending on a county and if it is urban or rural you will complete anywhere from 20-500 inspections per month working 2-30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates and higher volume counties have lower rates.
