We operate across commercial construction, landscape maintenance, snow & ice management, and residential design-build. What we need now is a Vice President of Landscape Maintenance ready to lead and grow both our commercial landscape maintenance and snow & ice management operations.The RoleThis is a high-impact leadership position responsible for building a profitable, operationally best of class, maintenance and snow operation. You will work directly with the CEO and executive leadership team to strengthen operations, develop people, improve systems, grow accounts, and drive profitability across two critical profit centers.What you’ll be doing:Commercial Landscape Maintenance & Snow OperationsLead all landscape maintenance and snow & ice management operations across the Kansas City metroOversee managers, crews, dispatch, subcontractors, and field operationsOwn planning, execution, storm response, service quality, and operational performanceBuild systems and operational structure to support future growthFinancial & Operational PerformanceManage budgets, forecasting, job costing, profitability, and operational visibilityImprove efficiency across labor, equipment, materials, routing, scheduling, and communicationDrive accountability and performance through better systems and processesTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop managers, field leaders, dispatch, and crewsRecruit, coach, and retain top operational talentBuild a culture of accountability, urgency, communication, and operational excellenceCustomer Experience & GrowthSupport account growth, retention, estimating, bidding, and client satisfactionBuild strong relationships with commercial customers and key stakeholdersHelp position Hermes as a premier landscape and snow partner in the marketWho we’re looking for:This role is best suited for someone who knows how to run a landscape maintenance high-performing operation and is ready for greater ownership, influence, and impact.You might be:A Branch Manager or Area Manager at a larger landscape company looking for more autonomyA high-performing operations leader ready to take ownership of a major divisionA Snow Operations Manager ready to lead at a higher levelSomeone who values working with nature and making the world more beautifulExperience10–15+ years in commercial landscape maintenance, snow operations, or related industriesExperience managing large commercial maintenance properties, crews, subcontractors, and operational logisticsStrong background in operations, leadership, budgeting, routing, and profitabilityExperience leading snow & ice management operations preferredProven success developing teams, improving systems, and growing operationsRequirementsStrong operational, financial, and organizational leadership skillsCalm and decisive in high-pressure situations and storm eventsSystems thinker who improves process, communication, and executionStrong communication and relationship-building abilitiesComfortable working directly with ownership and executive leadershipAbility to execute and “get things done”What you’re walking into:A 60-year-old family business that doesn’t act like one that’s slowing down.
