This individual will be responsible for the installation, assembly, and field layout of HVAC ductwork and related sheet metal systems on commercial job sites. The ideal candidate has strong experience reading blueprints, coordinating with other trades, and executing high-quality installations that meet project specifications and timelines.Job ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to determine installation requirementsPerform field layout of ductwork and HVAC systems based on project plansMeasure, cut, and install sheet metal duct systems, including rectangular, round, and spiral ductInstall hangers, supports, dampers, and related HVAC componentsEnsure proper alignment, sealing, and insulation of duct systemsPerform field modifications as needed to ensure proper fit and system performanceCoordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to ensure efficient workflow and jobsite productivityFollow all safety procedures and ensure work complies with OSHA standards and local building codesInspect installations for quality, accuracy, and code complianceMaintain tools, equipment, and jobsite cleanlinessAccountabilitiesDeliver high-quality installations that ensure proper system performance and meet project specificationsWork collaboratively with field leadership and other trades to maintain project schedules and minimize reworkMaintain a safe work environment by adhering to company safety policies and OSHA regulationsDemonstrate reliability, productivity, and craftsmanship on all assigned job sitesORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENTThis position reports to the local Branch Leader.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; trade school or apprenticeship preferredMinimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial sheet metal installationStrong ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawingsProven experience installing commercial HVAC duct systemsKnowledge of duct installation standardsAbility to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and jobsite equipmentFamiliarity with OSHA safety standards and jobsite best practicesAbility to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditionsPhysical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform demanding manual laborStrong communication and teamwork skillsOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, preferred Experience with duct sealing, insulation, and system start-up supportWelding or fabrication experienceBEHAVIORAL PROFILELanguage SkillsAbility to read and interpret jobsite instructions, safety guidelines, and blueprints.
