Application Packaging Engineer
ResponsibilitiesLead and support full lifecycle EOL software project activitiesCoordinate with project managers and engineering teamsManage risks, issues, and change requestsEnsure successful decommissioning of targeted softwareConduct environment-wide software discovery and usage analysisIdentify unsupported, vulnerable, and redundant software titlesCollaborate with security, compliance, and engineering teams to validate EOL candidatesDocument findings, decisions, and remediation plansEnsure compliance with internal standards and industry best practicesProvide technical leadership and guidance on software lifecycle managementPresent findings and recommendations to technical and business audiencesSupport packaging, deployment, and retirement processes including MECM integration and testingCollaborate with stakeholders during UAT and deployment phasesAssist with final cleanup and notification activitiesRequirementsStrong understanding of software lifecycle and EOL processesProficiency in PowerShell, SQL, WQL, Power BI, and software inventory toolsExperience with Change Management Processes and submitting change ticketsHands-on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration ManagerKnowledge of packaging, repackaging, and software deployment technologiesFamiliarity with Windows 10/11, MAC or VDI Enterprise EnvironmentAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively across teamsExcellent communication and documentation skillsDesired experience with Splunk/UberAgentDesired experience with InstallShield and Liquidware FlexAppAt least 3+ years of software package engineering experienceSystem One not only serves as a valued partner for our clients, but we offer eligible employees health and welfare benefits coverage options including medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, life insurance, voluntary plans, as well as participation in a 401(k) plan.System One is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
