Construction Engineer
We are seeking reliable General Engineers for full-time support at a Veteran's Affairs Hospital.Responsibilities IncludeExecuting data-driven project tasks under supervision, supporting capital investment planning, requirements definition, site reconnaissance, and design preparation.Applying advanced engineering and architectural principles to develop innovative solutions for complex problems.Conducting surveys, field investigations, and data collection to establish design baselines.Analyzing data, performing calculations, and developing cost-effective design solutions aligned with project goals.Providing engineering guidance to teams, reviewing plans and specifications, and managing construction and maintenance projects.Preparing technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation.Reviewing contractor submittals, developing design documents, and overseeing A/E firm deliverables.Ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and safety regulations, including OSHA and environmental standards.Participating in policy implementation related to security, safety, and data protection.Delivering professional customer service and technical communication to diverse stakeholders.Qualifications IncludeMinimum 5+ years of experience in engineering, design, construction, or facilities project management.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.Experience with healthcare facility design, codes, and systems.Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and healthcare infrastructure.Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical documents.Experience managing or coordinating with A/E firms and contractors.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft Project and Revit preferred.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment.Must meet federal and facility credentialing requirements, including background checks.
