EHR Developer

Job Opportunity: Electronic Health Records (EHR) Developer (Hybrid) We are seeking an experienced EHR Developer (also open to Health IT Specialists, EHR Integration Engineers, or Healthcare Solutions Developers) to design, customize, integrate, and support enterprise Electronic Health Record (EHR) solutions. This role focuses on optimizing clinical workflows, system integration, and data interoperability. Location: Raleigh, NC (Local candidates only) Work Arrangement: Hybrid Interview Mode: Webcam or In-Person Key Responsibilities EHR System Customization: Design, develop, and configure EHR software components to enhance clinical functionality, usability, and operational workflows. System Interoperability: Integrate EHR platforms with third-party systems, enterprise databases, and medical applications to ensure secure data exchange. Troubleshooting & Optimization: Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot system bugs, and refine application configurations to improve runtime reliability. Security & HIPAA Compliance: Implement stringent data access controls to protect sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA and healthcare privacy laws. Stakeholder Support: Collaborate directly with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and IT personnel to translate user needs into technical specifications. Required Skills & Qualifications To excel in this role, you must bring a strong blend of clinical workflow understanding and backend healthcare development skills: EHR Platform Engineering: Proven experience developing, configuring, and supporting enterprise-level Electronic Health Record (EHR) environments. Healthcare Integration: Practical knowledge of healthcare data conversion, system interface configuration, and multi-system integration. Clinical Workflows: Comprehensive understanding of clinical operations, medical billing integrations, and patient information management. Data Security: Strong familiarity managing patient data lifecycles, access auditing, backup/recovery, and security controls. Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot composite database or environment issues alongside technical and clinical teams. Preferred (Bonus) Skills Public Sector / Government Experience (Required) Hands-on familiarity with major platforms like Epic, Cerner, MEDITECH , or eClinicalWorks. Strong technical knowledge of HL7, FHIR, CCD data formats, and interface engines. Experience interacting with Health Information Exchanges (HIE) or cloud-based health infrastructure. J-18808-Ljbffr
