This is a Quality Engineer role in a manufacturing plant (fuel systems), mainly focused on machining processes.In short, the person’s job is to:Find and fix quality problems (like defects, scrap, customer complaints)Analyze data to understand why problems happenImprove manufacturing processes so fewer defects occurWork closely with operators, engineers, and managers on the shop floorTrain people on quality standards and best practicesThink of it as: “Make sure parts are made correctly, fix issues when they aren’t, and improve the process so problems don’t repeat.”Work environment: Union factory environment, PPE required: ear, and eye protection, safety toe shoesOffice environment by desk/cubicle: expect conference calls and meetings typical of an office spaceEducation & Experience Required: Years of experience: 5 years plus 3 years of internshipsDegree requirement: bachelor’s in relevant field, master’s 3 years plus internshipsDo you accept internships as job experience: YesTop 3 SkillsProblem solving & root cause analysisData-driven decision makingCommunication and cross functional collaborationAdditional Technical Skills (Required)Attention to detail Process improvement
