Lead Information System Security Engineer / Cloud Security EngineerBowhead seeks a Lead Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) / Cloud Security Engineer to support the upcoming Cloud Acceleration Services (CAS) Business Enterprise Systems (BES) located in Montgomery, AL. The Lead ISSE / Cloud Security Engineer will design and validate security controls for cloud and hybrid environments.ResponsibilitiesImplements secure IAM/RBAC/PAM and assesses Zero Trust control integrationSupport STIG/SCAP/ACAS/security testing.Review penetration test results, and engineers remediation strategies for cloud-hosted and containerized applications.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.Ten (10+) years cybersecurity engineering experience; five (5+) years supporting cloud security, DevSecOps security, or RMF engineering for DoD/Federal cloud-hosted systems.Certification: CISSP, CCSP, CASP+, or equivalent required/preferred; Security+ required; AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or Kubernetes security certification preferred.Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.Physical Demands:Must be able to lift up to 25 poundsMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodicallySECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. Top Secret preferred. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
