Job Title: Risk ManagerLocation: Flushing Queens NY (Onsite)Duration: Direct HireAnnual Salary: $162,425.39 Total Compensation(Base Weekly Pay: $2,884.62 + $238.95 Weekly FICA Reimbursement)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join a well-established organization. This role reports to the Director of Administration and is responsible for identifying, analyzing, evaluating, and mitigating risks that could impact financial performance, operations, compliance, and overall business objectives. The position plays a key role in protecting assets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advising leadership on risk-related decisions.DutiesConduct comprehensive risk assessments by analyzing data, documentation, reports, and internal processesIdentify and evaluate financial, operational, compliance, and reputational risks across the organizationDevelop, implement, and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and mitigation strategiesMonitor risk levels, emerging threats, and effectiveness of controls; report findings to leadershipCollaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, IT, HR, and operations teamsMaintain risk registers, perform audits, and update risk frameworks as neededPresent risk findings, recommendations, and reports to leadership to support decision-makingStay current on industry regulations, emerging risks, and best practicesPerform additional duties as neededWork EnvironmentThis position operates in a professional office setting.Collaborative, team-oriented environment with strong emphasis on communication and accountabilityFocus on maintaining a positive culture, work-life balance, and operational excellencePosition Type / Expected Hours of WorkFull-time, exempt, onsite positionMonday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PMFlexibility required to work additional hours as neededRequired Experience, Skills, and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, or related field5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, auditing, or a related analytical roleStrong understanding of risk management principles, policies, and best practicesExperience working cross-functionally to improve processes and drive efficiencyStrong analytical and quantitative skillsExcellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to explain complex risks clearlyProficient in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and analysisKnowledge of risk frameworks such as COSO or ISO 31000Professional certifications such as CRISC, FRM, PRM, or similar are a plusHigh attention to detail, strong ethics, and ability to handle confidential informationProblem-solving mindset with ability to develop practical mitigation strategiesCompensation & Benefits401(k) with 10% employer contribution (no employee match required, immediate vesting)Defined pension plans (fully employer funded, subject to vesting)FICA reimbursement (Social Security and Medicare taxes reimbursed weekly)Health, dental, and vision coverage fully funded by employer after eligibility periodHealth Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) – employer fundedPaid Time Off and Vacation11 Paid HolidaysPaid Jury DutyLife Insurance
