Senior Accountant – Automotive ManufacturingPosition SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing automotive manufacturing organization. This role will support month-end close, financial reporting, inventory accounting, cost analysis, and operational finance activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting fundamentals, manufacturing industry experience, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statementsSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesAnalyze manufacturing costs, inventory transactions, and production variancesMaintain and reconcile inventory, raw materials, WIP, and finished goods accountsAssist with standard cost accounting and BOM analysisPartner with plant operations and supply chain teams to improve financial reporting accuracy and operational efficiencySupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activitiesAssist with internal and external audits, including SOX compliance and documentation requestsReview fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure trackingEnsure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policiesIdentify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and reporting enhancementsSupport ERP system initiatives and financial system optimization projectsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within automotive manufacturing or industrial manufacturing environmentsStrong understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing operationsExperience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or Plex preferredAdvanced Excel skills requiredCPA or CPA-track preferredStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departmentsPreferred ExperienceAutomotive OEM or Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier experienceStandard costing and variance analysisInventory controls and cycle count processesMulti-site manufacturing operationsSOX compliance and audit support
