We are currently seeking a Middle School ELL Teacher-Coordinator to support our middle school campus. At Equality Charter Middle School (ECMS), we pride ourselves on being a true community school-one that provides scholars with a well-rounded educational experience grounded in academic rigor, social-emotional awareness, and love.The ideal candidate is deeply aligned with these core values and demonstrates that alignment consistently through their practice, relationships, and daily presence within the school community.ResponsibilitiesPrimary Duties:Teach a daily ESOL class for beginning ELL studentsPush into and/or co-teach mainstream classes with high concentrations of beginning ELLs (typically ELA)Oversee and manage all ELL caseloadsCoordinate and oversee non-instructional components of the ELL program (e.g., NYSESLAT, NYSITELL)Support general education teachers with questions, strategies, and resources related to ELL instruction Preferred Qualifications:The ideal candidate has experience teaching English Language Learners and/or formal training in ELL instruction and is bilingual in Spanish.
