The nurse will be required to work all scheduled shifts, with no accommodation for requests outside of approved time-off requests. Patient ratios will be between 1:5 to 1:6. First-time travelers will not be accepted for this position. Weekend shifts will be required every other week, and candidates should be flexible. The nurse must be proficient in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, which will be assessed through a pass/fail test during orientation. Floating within the hospital to meet facility needs is expected. Candidates should have strong time management skills. Experience with orthopedic and neuro-stroke patients, as well as cardiac telemetry, is required. Nurses will be expected to assist in a variety of patient care areas, including behavioral health and respite. This position serves a culturally diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Documentation will be done using the Epic charting system. A strong commitment to patient care and collaboration with interdisciplinary support services is essential. The travel staff member will report to the management team and participate in contributing to a positive work environment.
