This is an opportunity to contribute to product development, process optimization, and plant support within a global leader in the chemical industry.📍 Mapleton, ILWhat You Will Be Doing:Design and conduct laboratory-scale experiments to develop and improve chemical processes, including reactions involving specialized equipment and varying production scales.Help move new or improved products from the laboratory toward manufacturing by supporting scale-up, implementation, and troubleshooting activities.Evaluate laboratory and production information to understand process performance and recommend practical improvements.Partner with manufacturing and technical teams to investigate chemistry-related issues and help identify effective solutions.Contribute to technical projects through documentation, presentations, team meetings, training, and ongoing project communication.What You Will Bring:Advanced education in Chemistry or a related discipline, or a bachelor's/master's degree combined with substantial industry experience.Hands-on experience developing chemical processes, performing synthesis, or improving manufacturing processes in an industrial environment.Familiarity with organic/industrial chemistry and reaction systems; experience involving fatty acids, hydrogenation, amines, or elevated-pressure processes is a plus.Ability to work safely with chemicals and laboratory equipment while maintaining a strong commitment to safe operating practices.Strong problem-solving, communication, and data interpretation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and operational teams.Compensation & Benefits:6+ month contract opportunity with potential for extension.Opportunity to work on meaningful chemical development and manufacturing initiatives.Hands-on exposure to laboratory experimentation and industrial-scale operations.Collaborative environment with opportunities to work alongside technical and manufacturing professionals.Compensation and additional details available upon discussion.If you're ready to put your chemistry expertise and problem-solving skills to work on something meaningful, let's connect ASAP!
