Location: Neah Bay School Salary: Depends on Experience - Based on District Certificated Salary ScaleClosing Date: Open Until Filled Employment Date: August 2026This position is represented by Union MembershipQualifications:Valid degree from an accredited college or universityCurrent Washington State Teaching Certificate with proper endorsementsHave or can obtain clearance from Washington State Patrol and FBI background checkPreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in appropriate endorsement area.Three to five years teaching experience in appropriate area.Multiple areas of endorsement in secondary grade levels.Knowledge and Abilities:Demonstrate effective instruction; facilitates engaged learning; and, can acquire and record quality evidence of learning through multiple types of assessments.Demonstrate organizational skills and computer skills necessary for supporting instruction.Must understand and maintain confidentiality.Creative and caring with commitment to education for all students.Strive to maintain and improve professional competence. Ability to take and follow directions.Familiar with Common Core Standards and SBAC AssessmentsDemonstrate constructive and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and work effectively with students, parents and cohorts.Essential Job Functions: (Complete Job Description available upon request.)Meet and instruct mathematics classes at the location and the time designated.Plan a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests and abilities.Create and maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate for individual interest and learning styles of students.Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals by establishing clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and communicating these objectives to students.Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, District policy and regulationsMaintain good order and discipline in the classroom at all times.Attend staff meetings, department meetings and serve on building committees as required.Work to establish open lines of communication with administration, fellow teachers, parents, and students.Meet and confer with colleagues, support staff, students, and/or parents on regular basis.Maintain a positive attitude, good work ethic, and demonstrate promptness in work arrival and in accomplishing all tasks.Perform other necessary and reasonable duties as assigned.Apply on line under the Employment Opportunities link at www.cfsd401.org.
