Warehouse/Forklift Associate IIThe Warehouse/Forklift Associate II is responsible for the physical movement and storage of freight within a container freight station, including loading and unloading, documentation, and adherence to maintenance and safety standards. Efficient and accurate movement of freight as required using appropriate equipment and safety practices. Timely and precise completion of required documentation for inbound and outbound freight. Active support of safety, security, and work environment policies and best practices.Duties and responsibilities include:Operate electric or propane powered forklift trucks with rated lifting capacity up to 35,000 lbs and heights typically not exceeding 180 inches (15 feet).Operate lifting, tilting, and steering controls to position, load, move, transport, and stack goods and materials in crates, boxes, pallets, skids in areas such as warehouse docks, ocean containers, vans, flatbed trucks, and flat racks.Receive and verify freight against receiving documentation, identify and note discrepancies and damage, and report findings.Load and unload containers using strip sheets and load sheets and re-cube export shipments.Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse work area.Comply with safety and security regulations and policies including attendance at monthly safety meetings.Respond to or escalate questions and concerns from forklift operators, truck drivers, and other visitors to the facility.Other warehouse duties as assigned.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (HSED) requiredForklift certification requiredValid state issued driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred1+ years of related forklift operator work experience requiredRequired knowledge, skills, and abilities:Ability to independently operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse location and documentation systems.Self-directed with the ability to complete assignments within time and productivity guidelines with minimal supervision.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen to and follow verbal instructions and write legibly.Ability to read and properly complete freight-related documentation and instructions.Good organizational and multitasking skills.Competencies:Delivers Results: Rigorously drives self and others to achieve high levels of individual and organization performance.Focuses on the Customer & Market: Continuously evaluates what is important to the customer/client and develops products or solutions that exceed expectations.Makes Sound Business Decisions: Makes timely and well-informed decisions that advance critical priorities, capitalize on new opportunities, and resolve problems.Practices our Values: Supports and models The Pasha Way; conduct reflects Excellence, Honesty, Integrity, Innovation and Teamwork.Physical demands:Hear and speak with sufficient clarity to understand and engage in telephonic information exchange; hear and understand verbal instructions; give and receive information verbally in person or via communication device - OftenWalk/travel within office environment, kneel/crouch/bend to access floor-level storage - OftenUse hands/fingers to operate office equipment, type/complete data input, write - OftenReach with hands, arms; lift, move and manipulate objects weighing up to 50 pounds - RegularlySight sufficient to read instructions, documents, and screen-based information - OftenUse hands/fingers to manipulate and file documents, folders, small objects, tools - RegularlyWorking environment:Freight warehouse facility, office, outdoor yard and lot, and workshop settings, where hot, humid, cold, and other inclement weather conditions may occur.Moderate to high levels of noise.Potential exposure to airborne particles.May handle hazardous materials and may be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE).Screening requirements: Background Checks Drug TestingThe salary range listed is based on the geographic zone associated with this role: COMPTON, CA.
