Basic Job Functions:The Human Resources and Talent Administrator provides excellent customer service and administrative support in the Human Resources and Talent department. The Human Resources and Talent Administrator supports candidates, new hires, transfers, and current teammates while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity when handling HR, Talent, payroll, and personnel information. This position is onsite and is an hourly position, with expected working hours fluctuating 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. based on business needs. To ensure the confidentiality and integrity of Human Resources, and in accordance with Nucor policy, the selected teammate may not have relatives employed at Nucor Steel West Virginia.The Human Resources Administrator will provide administrative support to the HR and Talent team by:Supporting onboarding, pre-employment steps, and transfer processes for candidates and teammatesMaintaining accurate and confidential HR, Talent, payroll, and benefits recordsMaintaining candidate and teammate information in the applicant tracking systemSupporting weekly payroll processing, including reports, data entry, and tax payment assistanceAssisting with recruiting activities, including candidate communication, interview assessments, and interview coordinationAssisting teammates with benefits enrollment, insurance questions, and FMLA administrationAssisting with company-sponsored programs, including service awards, scholarships, educational reimbursement, and teammate eventsPromote a culture aligned with the Nucor Way values while supporting general HR administrative functions and performing other duties as assigned.
