IT Support Specialist
Job Overview
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Specialist to support and maintain our organization’s technology infrastructure. In this role, you will provide technical support to end users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure the reliable performance of systems across various operating systems and network environments. The IT/Maintenance Specialist is responsible for installing, configuring, managing, and repairing computer systems, software, and related equipment that support daily operations, as well as performing routine facility maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining accurate records of hardware inventory and repairs. Responsibilities
Provide technical support to employees and students for hardware, software, and system-related issues.
Ensure systems, software, and security protocols are current, updated, and function properly.
Stay informed of emerging technologies and recommend improvements when appropriate.
Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess technology needs and system requirements.
Submit requests for computer parts and equipment as needed.
Install and configure computers, televisions, and other technology equipment.
Set up and program new computers for assigned employees.
Create and manage company email accounts, including onboarding and removal of terminated employees.
Produce employee identification badges.
Monitor security systems as needed and ensure security cameras are functioning properly.
Ensure that all laptops are fully charged and prepared for daily student use.
Distribute and collect laptops and other assigned devices.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records for all technology equipment.
Track assigned and returned devices to ensure proper accountability.
Maintain copies of student equipment agreements and verify required documentation prior to issuing devices.
Assist with the collection, inspection, and documentation of laptops at the end of the usage period.
Collect electronic equipment, access cards, keys, and other company-issued property from terminated employees.
Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure proper onboarding and offboarding procedures.
Assist staff with office relocations, including moving and setting up furniture and equipment.
Manage system integration for Student Information Systems and student platform.
Document incidents and resolutions accurately.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience
Proven experience in providing IT support or desktop support in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows.
Hands-on experience with computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewalls, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
Familiarity with software troubleshooting techniques for common applications like Microsoft Office suite and Google.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
Work Hours - Monday - Friday - 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Education - High School Required. IT Certifications or Education in the field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
