Our client is a BOLT AND SCREW MANUFACTURER. The COLD HEADER OPERATOR is responsible forPosition OverviewA header operator is ametalworking professional that operates a cold heading machine. Heading is a process that includes forging, extruding and upsetting in one, allowing you to expedite the production of products like bolts, screws, and lug nuts.Responsibilities Of a POSITION NAME IncludesSet up and operate cold heading machines to produce fasteners for regular, new, special, or experimental jobs.Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.Maintains a clean machine and organized work area.Performs preventative maintenance including lubricating machines when needed.Makes minor repairs and notifies maintenance.Performs variety of tasks such as counting, cleaning, returning gauges and fixtures, transferring of parts, assembling tooling for next job.Completes First Piece Inspection and inspects work in progress using provided gauges necessary and outlined in Quality Standard Operating Procedures and/or work instructions.Responsible for quality of own workJob Requirements Of a POSITION NAMEMust be 18 years or older.High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.2+ years’ experience in cold heading/forming.Capable of using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.Ability to read and write, perform basic arithmetic, and follow verbal and written instructions.REQUIRED Experience And EducationFor immediate consideration, our Auburn Hills Branch can be called at 248-268-3191 or you can text us at 248-440-7785.*** Conducting (drug screening and/or background check) report inquiries may be necessary for employment purposes.Job Impulse, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
