Team members work in a collaborative, community-oriented environment where creativity and measurable results are highly valued.Role Description The Marketing Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Corinth, MS. This role leads the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to promote Corinth as a premier destination for visitors, events, and group travel. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing marketing campaigns, managing the marketing budget, coordinating with agencies and vendors, and ensuring consistent branding across all channels. The Marketing Director will conduct and interpret market research, analyze campaign performance, and adjust plans to maximize impact and return on investment. The role also involves supervising marketing staff, collaborating closely with local partners and stakeholders, and representing Visit Corinth at meetings, events, and industry functions. The Marketing Director will manage content and messaging for digital platforms, social media, print materials, and public relations efforts to increase awareness, visitation, and community engagement.Qualifications Strong skills in Marketing, Marketing Management, and Market Planning, with experience developing and implementing integrated destination or brand campaigns.Ability to conduct and interpret Market Research to identify audience segments, trends, and opportunities that inform strategy and decision-making.Understanding of Sales principles and collaboration with sales or tourism teams to support lead generation, events, and partnership initiatives.Proficiency with digital marketing tools and channels, including social media, email marketing, websites, and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).Proven experience managing budgets, timelines, and external vendors or agencies while delivering measurable results.Effective leadership, team management, and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to build and maintain community and partner relationships.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft clear, compelling messages for diverse audiences.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Tourism, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience; prior experience in tourism, hospitality, or destination marketing is preferred.
