Commercial Estimator - Interior Construction Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, focusing on interior construction and tenant improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of commercial construction processes to ensure competitive and precise bids.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze project plans and specifications to develop accurate estimates for costs.Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for estimates.Prepare detailed and organized cost estimates including labor, materials, and overhead.Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and validate estimates.Maintain and update a database of historical costs for reference in future projects.Review and analyze bid proposals, ensuring compliance with project specifications.Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and resource availability.QualificationsProven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on commercial projects.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost control.Experience with interior construction and tenant improvement projects is highly desirable.Proficiency in estimating software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with clients and subcontractors.
